Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Pipefitters to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various settings including shut downs and decommissioning. This role requires basic understanding of schematics and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The successful applicant will demonstrate some welding skills and possess a solid foundation in basic mathematics to ensure precise measurements and calculations.

Hours - 8AM -16:30PM but will differ on overtime (5 days a week)

Rate - £24 p/h CIS / PAYE

Responsibilities

* Interpret and work from schematics to install and maintain piping systems.

* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to build and repair piping structures.

* Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

* Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.

* Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

* Welding isn't essential, generally will be installing pipe and equipment

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.

* Strong understanding of schematics, plumbing principles, and pipefitting techniques.

* Some proficiency in welding, mig/stick

* Ability to perform basic fabrication of brackets and supports.

* Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in pipefitting tasks.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* Experience in working on top tier comah sites is beneficial but not essential.
