Job Summary
We are seeking a Landscape Architecture Designer/Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be supporting the development of landscape projects during all project phases. You will collaborate closely with the project design team to ensure successful project execution. You will consult with the project manager to get the landscape goals, use CAD software to draw plans, prepare estimates, and oversee the implementation of the projects. The ideal candidate has an eye for design and proven work experience as a Landscape Architect. 

Responsibilities
  • Assist in all project types, including single-family residential, multi-family, mixed-use, retail, commercial / office, and hospitality projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop design concepts, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance with building codes, regulations, and standards. 
  • Participate in coordination and communication with external consultants, contractors, and vendors. 
  • Participate in project meetings, providing input, insights, and solutions to design and construction challenges. 
  • Produce project deliverables using software (Revit, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite) and hand graphics.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance design efficiency and project delivery processes. 
  • Become familiar with the agency submittal and review process, including planning, design review, HOA, CCRs, building, and others, as applicable. 
  • Assist in the coordination of site visits, including site analysis and documentation of existing site conditions. 
  • Take notes on project changes during meetings to ensure project documentation is accurate. 
  • Working collaboratively on a team under the management of senior staff and working independently. 
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and other professionals in the completion of the projects
  • Take into consideration environmental facts associated with the project 
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create site plans and graphic representations
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in landscape architecture. 
  • Previous experience as a Landscape Architect or in a similar position
  • Training or certification as a Landscape Architect is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of CAD software
  • Creative with an eye for design
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback and adjust accordingly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in landscape design principles, including site analysis, grading, planting design, and hardscape design. 
  • Proficiency in drafting and documentation programs (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, etc.). 
  • Proficiency in presentation and rendering programs (Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, etc.). 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. 
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to create accurate and visually compelling renderings and presentation graphics by hand and through rendering programs. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
