We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global Facilities Management provider for an experienced Plumber to support maintenance operations on a single-site contract in Leicester. This is a 2-week temporary role with potential future roles with an immediate start, ideal for someone with strong plumbing skills and a background in commercial maintenance.
🔧 The Role:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of plumbing systems, ensuring consistent operation and reducing the risk of future breakdowns. You'll follow scheduled maintenance programs and maintain accurate records of all work completed.
- Responding to reactive maintenance tasks, including fault-finding, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing-related issues. This may involve responding quickly to urgent callouts and working calmly under pressure to restore service promptly.
- Supporting ongoing projects and small-scale installation work, assisting the wider team with system upgrades, equipment replacements, and minor plumbing refurbishments. You’ll work closely with project leads and contractors to ensure works are completed to a high standard.
- Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and compliance, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with site policies, risk assessments, and industry best practices. You’ll help uphold the client’s safety and compliance standards at all times.
✅ Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 / City & Guilds in Plumbing (essential)
- Proven experience in commercial or facilities maintenance
- Comfortable working independently and proactively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
