About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial team at their Leicester Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in a professional and fast-paced construction environment.
You will work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, gaining hands-on experience across a range of projects, from pre-construction through to final accounts. You'll also benefit from mentoring, structured training, and the opportunity to work towards professional accreditation through the APC after an initial settling-in period.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing subcontract package documents to issue for tender, upon return assist in the package analysis accordingly.

Support in measurement and valuation of works, including attending site visits.

Assist in reviewing subcontractor applications and managing payment processes.

Monitor variations and support with accurate cost tracking.

Support in preparing interim and final account statements.

Work closely with the project team to ensure commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist in compiling and reviewing subcontractor packages and documentation.

Maintain clear records and assist in reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
What They're Looking For

A degree in BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management.

Strong numeracy and analytical skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities

A team player with a proactive and professional approach

Willingness to learn and develop through formal and on-the-job training
