About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Electrician to join our client's team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and installing electrical harnesses and components in line with bespoke vehicle build specifications. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, suited to someone with experience in electrical engineering, mechanical fitting, vehicle fitting or panel building.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and installation of vehicle electrical harnesses and boards
- Fitting 12V and higher-voltage electrical components
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and 3D models
- Following structured build processes and technical instructions
- Laying out and assembling custom wiring looms to specification
- Working safely and efficiently in confined or awkward spaces
- Maintaining accuracy and quality in all electrical work
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience working with 12V vehicle electrics (essential)
- Background in electrical engineering, vehicle fitting, mechanical fitting, or panel building
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and 3D models
- A strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Good physical fitness – able to carry out strenuous work
- A positive attitude, with good timekeeping and reliability
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (advantageous)
- Overhead crane experience (desirable – full training provided)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (desirable)
What We Offer
- Hours of work are: Mon - Thurs 07:30-16:30, Early finish on Friday 07:30-12:45
- Competitive hourly rate starting from £13.25, depending on experience
