Job Summary:

Ground Works Land Design is seeking a passionate and creative Landscape & Hardscape Designer to join our team. You will be working closely with our senior designers and project managers to support the development of innovative and sustainable design solutions across a range of residential and commercial landscape/hardscape design projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong landscape and hardscape design experience, ready to take ownership from concept through completion. Pay Range: $50,000 – $60,000 Annually

• Assist in the development of landscape design concepts, including site planning, plant selection, and material specification.
• Support senior designers in preparing design presentations, concept drawings, and technical documents.
• Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and contractors, to ensure the seamless integration of landscape designs into larger projects.
• Assist in managing project timelines, ensuring that all deliverables are met according to deadlines.
• Participate in client meetings and help translate their needs and preferences into design concepts.
• Stay up-to-date on landscape design trends, industry standards, and new technologies to bring fresh ideas to the team.

• 1-2 years of experience in landscape design or a related field (this includes internships or freelance work)
• Familiar with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of plant materials and sustainable design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with creative problem-solving abilities.
• An understanding of construction documentation and techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with GIS and landscape analysis tools.
• Experience with site grading and stormwater management.
• Knowledge of local zoning regulations and code compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Vectorworks & Adobe Suite.
