Our client, a prominent player in the construction industry, is currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performance team in Dublin. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment where you can be part of significant projects within the mission critical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day commercial and contract activities
Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintenance of associated registers
Negotiate and obtain best value with placement of subcontract orders
Participate in the management of project budgets, cost plans, and feasibility studies
Validate and approve sub-contractors' interim applications and final submissions, ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act
Lead pre-appointment subcontractor meetings to ensure scope is clearly defined
Prepare accurate monthly Cost Value Reports
Maximise cash flow through prompt submission of Monthly Valuations with full and accurate supporting documentation
Negotiate, draft and submit Final Accounts including claims
Maintain productive relationships with all design team professionals and client representatives
Ensure the implementation of Team Commercial procedures
Job Requirements:
Experience in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics
Understanding of the various forms of contract used in the construction industry (NEC, RIAI, FIDIC)
Ability to critically evaluate and identify gaps in documentation and commercial opportunities
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and systems
Strong commercial awareness
Proficiency in numeracy and report writing
Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
Attention to detail and process orientation
