Workshop Manager – Dover – M&E – c£60k plus package

This company is an established mechanical and electrical sitework and workshop repair and service provider working throughout the South East. They operate in most M&E industries including Water, Power, Oil & Gas and offer a full Project Management Service, including Principal Contractor and Principle Designer (under CDM 2015) status.

An opportunity has come up for an experienced individual to join the team managing and running their busy Workshop in Dover. Although not a new role it is part of a restructuring within the company and the person will be responsible for day-to-day activities of the workshop, managing, supervising and motivating a team of Fitters and pro-actively reviewing daily workload.

You will be responsible for overseeing core services including carrying out the removal, dismantle, inspection, refurbishment and re-installation of all types of pumps for original manufacturers.

Once in the workshop pumps are dismantled, cleaned and inspected, with a detailed photographic report issued which explains the condition found and work required. Once agreed, the pumps are refurbished. On completion of the refurbishment, the engineers return to site and install / commission, complete with vibration and thermographic checks.

You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving any issues, and re-assuring customers by providing all necessary information and advice.

Maintaining relationships with equipment manufacturers and providing technical information for Fitters during repair operations.

Complying with Health & Safety regulations and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and security are achieved and maintained within the workshop.

The successful candidate will ideally have a mechanical background and extensive experience within a management role, providing reactive and planned & M&E maintenance & installation services of equipment, preferably within the Utilities Sector – ideally Water Treatment.

This is a static role with a competitive salary c£60k and excellent package/benefits on offer
