Senior Interior Designer / Senior Interior Architect

Commercial Projects | Collaborative Culture | Tulsa, OK

Seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer or Senior Interior Architect to join a thriving, multidisciplinary design team delivering impactful projects across Oklahoma and beyond. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multigenerational environment where design excellence, technical precision, and community impact come together.

About the Role

This position offers a true balance of creative concept design and technical production (50/50 split), with every senior team member staying hands-on throughout all project phases. You will lead client-facing design presentations, manage diverse project types, and work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to deliver high-quality commercial spaces.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design process from concept through construction documentation on multiple commercial projects.
  • Develop and present design concepts directly to clients, incorporating their vision and project requirements.
  • Create and manage FF&E selections, finishes, and detailing in alignment with project scope and brand standards.
  • Manage a varied workload, from large, multi-year projects to multiple smaller interiors-focused assignments, balancing independent work and collaborative efforts.
  • Oversee interior space planning, technical detailing, and drawing sets, ensuring full compliance with life safety, ADA, and other applicable codes.
  • Work on projects ranging from small-scale renovations to large-scale new construction, with approximately 60% renovation / 40% new build.
  • Partner with a talented, cross-disciplinary team in an open office environment designed for creativity and mentorship.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–15 years of professional experience in commercial interior design or interior architecture.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects at various scales, from 3,000 sq. ft. tenant improvements to 50,000 sq. ft. multi-phase campuses.
  • Strong understanding of design codes, permitting processes, and technical documentation.
  • Comfortable working in both concept design and technical production phases.
  • Background in either architecture firms or interiors-focused studios is welcome, as long as commercial expertise is central to your work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in education or healthcare projects, especially with complex code requirements.
  • Professional licensure (LID, CIDQ, or similar).
