Job Description

Our established client based in Kettering is recruiting a skilled Production Electrician on a permanent basis to join their machinery production team. This is a dynamic position in which you will play a key role in the manufacturing, development and maintenance of the company's globally exported laboratory testing machinery. About The Role ...

  • As a Production Electrician you will be required to carry out the following:
  • Wire a range of machinery from wiring diagrams, commission, quality check and calibrate equipment to meet deadlines
  • Conduct on-site installations, fault-finding and repairs both domestic and overseas
  • Engage in prototype and development work
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product designs
  • Support the enhancement of final build quality checks
  • Support documentation of build process.

About You ...

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in electrical installation/wiring or mechatronics (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  •  Independent problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team Full UK driving licence
  • A willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an ad-hoc basis (approximately 1 to 5 weeks per year)

Desirable

  • Experience in panel wiring
  • Experience of work-related travel
  • Customer facing experience
  • Mechanical fitting experience
  • Knowledge of PLC logic/programming and motor drive inverters
  • PAT qualification
