Plumber Assistant (Amarillo, TX)

Job Overview

The Craftsman is a trained artisan able to work with wood, plastics, metals, and other similar materials. They are required to have a good overall mechanical and assembly knowledge, while specializing in several aspects of all facilities maintenance. They need to be self-motivated to not only tackle immediate tasks but also be able to forecast tasks in the work process. A high-quality level of assembly and finish is required and should be expected.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ability to read and understand drawings and assembly instructions.

• Gather materials and items needed for a project and assemble them in a timely manner.

• Communicate with the other craftsman, Supervisor, and Project Manager as

needed to gather information or materials for a project, as well as stock supplies.

• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure their viability.

• Utilize and maintain safety equipment needed within the company to insure a safe and

comfortable work environment for the team.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

• Ability to work at heights, lift heavy material, stand for long durations, bend/squat.

Plumber Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist plumber in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
• Help with troubleshooting plumbing issues and providing effective solutions under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Familiarity with safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.

• 2 years of experience in a similar position.

• Working knowledge of tools and equipment.

• Friendly disposition and able to maintain a calm personality in a team environment.

• Self-motivated to organize their own tasks and complete them without daily oversight.

• Willingness to jump in, learn new skills, and help as needed throughout the company.
