Mechanical Site Supervisor - Join a M&E Contractor on a growth trajectory offering long term contract with continuation on to other projects afterwards providing many years of work for the right person.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our clients team and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a CAT B commercial project. As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to maintain a smooth workflow and avoid conflicts.
* Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
* Manage the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
* Ensure that all installations are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications and industry best practices.
* Monitor and control material usage and labour costs to optimize project profitability.
* Conduct regular quality inspections to identify and rectify any defects or non-conformities.
* Implement quality control measures to prevent issues and ensure that all work meets the required standards.
* Prepare and submit quality control documentation, including inspection reports and test certificates.
* Lead and motivate a team of skilled mechanical installers and technicians.
* Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
* Address performance issues and provide necessary training to improve skills and knowledge.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients and project managers.
* Communicate effectively with clients to address their concerns and provide regular project updates.
* Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise on-site.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
* Excellent knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
