About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MARC Project Manager to lead a large-scale maintenance and repair contract (MARC) operation in Ghana. This role is responsible for overseeing on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, managing resources, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Leadership & Team Management – Oversee a team of 158 staff (local and expat), ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and training.

✅ Customer Relationship Management – Act as the primary contact for client support, liaising with mining and maintenance management.

✅ Operational Excellence – Lead daily and weekly meetings, drive continuous improvement, and ensure KPI compliance.

✅ Health & Safety – Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring all procedures are strictly followed.

✅ Financial & Equipment Management – Oversee budget control, expenditure approvals, and maintenance schedules for a $40M fleet.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

🎯 Experience:

✔ Proven track record in mobile mining fleet maintenance or dealership contract management.

✔ Strong background in managing large teams within an African mining environment.

✔ Expertise in financial management, budgeting (OPEX & CAPEX), and cost control.

🎯 Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Engineering degree or relevant trade qualification.

✔ Knowledge of Caterpillar mining equipment.

✔ Excellent leadership, commercial, and relationship-building skills.

✔ Strong computer and time management abilities.

✔ Safety certification (IOSH or similar) preferred.
