Summary: The Lighting Designer is responsible for (but not limited to) the operation, maintenance, and upgrades of various A/V systems of multiple rooms across all campuses at Faith Church. This position is responsible to set up, install, operate, maintain and program the lighting for all Faith Church campuses. This position will oversee Broadcast Lighting, Lighting Programing, Lighting Design and Set Design (technical aspect), and the Lighting Dream Team will report to you.
This position requires its primary duty must be the performance of work requiring invention, imagination, originality or talent in a recognized field of artistic or creative endeavor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Building Dream Team and Training Dream Team for Lighting Department. You will be given a deadline for team building upon assimilation in to staff
2. Program lighting at all St Louis campuses. You will program while the dream team runs board
3. Train on Grand MA board and software
4. Knowledge of various lighting fixtures (Conventional, LED, Intelligent/Moving) and stay current on lighting designs and trends
5. Learn Vectorworks/Illustrator/Google SketchUp
6. Assist other ministries with lighting/technical needs
7. Setup, install, maintain and operate lighting systems and equipment
8. Provide lighting expertise for purchases, installations and outside events
9. Maintain lighting systems for all needed rooms and venues
10. Work with rigging motors and safety equipment
11. Attend pre-planned meetings and rehearsals
12. Operate lighting for rehearsals, services and special events
13. Assist with planning and installation of lighting and structured cabling
14. Provide routine maintenance for all lighting equipment, changing bulbs and servicing equipment
15. Responsible for lighting inventory and lighting maintenance plan
16. Assist with set design and construction of stage sets
17. Responsible for programing lighting for all special events

This job operates in a professional office environment (routinely uses standard office equipment) and auditorium setting in an audio booth and equipment.
Physical Demands
Office time is mostly a sedentary role (stationary at desk and working on a computer); during services and events, must have high energy for multiple hour segments.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The weekly schedule will include 40-45 hours per week and will be the same every week. In addition to your regular weekly hours you will be asked to participate in events that will occasionally include evening or weekend hours, as there are continual seasons where it will be necessary to exceed these minimum hours (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Strategic Planning, are just some examples and do not encompass all of the extended hours opportunities). These hours can/will fluctuate.
Sunday: 7:00am – 2:00pm (varies depending on assigned campus)
Monday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Thursday: OFF
Friday: OFF
Saturday: 1:00pm – 7:30pm
Travel
Campus to campus local travel and occasional overnight trips will be expected for this position.
