LNT Construction Limited, part of LNT Care Developments are looking for Health & Safety Coordinator (Internal) to join our site teams

Primary Responsibilities:

Internal Compliance Reviews: Conduct regular internal reviews of Health, Safety & Welfare practices across construction sites to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.

Incident & Near Miss Analysis: Review all submitted reports; analyse data for quarterly Health & Safety and Site Manager meetings.

Accident Reporting & RIDDOR: Compile accident reports in line with data protection policies. Notify HSE under RIDDOR where applicable.

Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with ABBEY representatives to address site practice findings and concerns.

Safe Systems of Work: Provide guidance on implementation and upkeep of Safe Systems of Work and site procedures.

Policy Communication: Ensure all H&S arrangements are clearly communicated, understood, and implemented by site personnel.

Internal Audits: Lead regular audits focused on monitoring, reviewing, and improving H&S management systems.

Document Coordination: Oversee collection and review of H&S documentation; resolve and close out outstanding items.

Occupational Health Monitoring: Support coordination of occupational health monitoring with Employee Experience.

Performance Reporting: Monitor safety performance and report findings directly to the Managing Director.

Site Safety Signage: Regularly review signage needs and communicate with Buying team to ensure timely ordering.

RAMS Oversight: Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS); provide feedback and ensure compliance.

Annual H&S Improvements: Recommend and support improvement initiatives by reviewing and updating existing systems.

H&S Communications: Compile and distribute monthly H&S newsletter including incidents, HSE flashes, and actions.

Quarterly Meetings: Present key safety findings at quarterly Site Manager and H&S meetings.

Lifting Equipment Compliance: Ensure accurate records of lifting equipment and accessory certifications are maintained.

High-Risk Activity Management: Work with site teams to identify and manage high-risk or hazardous activities.

Training Initiatives: Manage training such as face fit testing and manual handling to ensure competency.

Design Phase Involvement: Provide H&S input during design to ensure buildability and compliance.

Executive H&S Support: Act as direct advisor to the Managing Director on unresolved site-level H&S issues.

Site RAMS Support: Assist site teams with completion and review of RAMS to meet standards.

Site Safety Communication: Ensure Site Managers are informed and equipped to implement safety arrangements.

Internal Audits & Interviews: Conduct audits and interviews to ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Equipment Responsibility: Maintain issued tools/equipment in clean, working, and calibrated condition. Report faults. Return all items in working condition.

Policy Compliance: Comply with all LNT Construction policies and procedures at all times.

Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks as assigned by management when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

* NEBOSH General Certificate/IOSH in Occupational Health & Safety (mandatory for Higher Risk activities)

* Managing H&S

* Incident investigation

* The individual will have good time management, is well organised, has good attention to detail, is able to participate effectively in meetings,

* Essential to be able to achieve restrictive deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy in all areas.

* Awareness and understanding of all Health, Safety & Welfare processes.

* Good Knowledge of COSHH

* IOSH Management in Health and Safety

* Fire Safety Training

* Good communication

* Good IT literacy in Word, Excel and emails.
