Exciting Opportunity for a Finishing Manager in Cornwall!
Are you a skilled Finishing Manager with a carpentry background and house-building experience? Do you take pride in delivering high-quality finishes and ensuring homes are completed to the highest standard?
Our client, is looking for a Finishing Manager to oversee the final stages of construction, ensuring smooth handovers and exceptional quality standards.
The Role: Finishing Manager
As a Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the final stages of housing projects, ensuring units are completed to specification, snag-free, and ready for client handover.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the finishing and snagging process, ensuring all work meets quality and LABC / NHBC standards.
* Manage subcontractors and trades, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Carry out quality control inspections, identifying and resolving defects efficiently.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations on-site.
* Work closely with site managers, project teams, and customers to ensure a smooth handover.
* Maintain excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
* Report progress and issues to the contracts management.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Finishing Manager in house building.
* Carpentry background (preferred) with strong knowledge of residential construction.
* Ability to identify and resolve defects, ensuring homes are handed over snag-free.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS Card & First Aid at Work
* Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) – travel between sites required.
