We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana!
This Environmental Engineer position, which reports to the Environmental Manager, works with a team of environmental professionals to manage compliance for the Warrick facility. This position is fully on-site and will require a daily in-person presence.

What you will work on:
- Support the aspects of the environmental program within the assigned media and production area(s) at the Warrick site.
- Work with plant operations to meet environmental expectations and requirements.
- Maintain environmental records and submit agency reports.
- Interface with regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals.
- Oversee environmental aspects of capital projects and operational changes.
- Maintain proper training and certifications to support the environmental function, such as Method 9, Hazwoper, stormwater pollution prevention, etc.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or natural sciences (chemistry, biology, etc.) required.
- 5+ years of relevant environmental experience.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
- Must be capable of working and driving change within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10+ years of environmental experience, including 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in air regulations and compliance
- Supervisory experience preferred.
