We are a leading maintenance contractor providing high-quality electrical services to both domestic and commercial clients across West London. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintenance, fault finding, and testing, with a solid understanding of both domestic and commercial electrical systems.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance and installation works on both domestic and commercial projects across the West London area. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Carrying out electrical inspections, testing, and maintenance on a variety of sites, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations.
* Performing fault finding and repairs to electrical systems and components.
* Ensuring all electrical installations meet the requirements of the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
* Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and providing recommendations for repairs and upgrades.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies on-site at all times.
* Working closely with clients to ensure satisfaction and the successful delivery of projects.
* Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of work completed, including reports and certifications.
* Managing time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high standards of work.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations – up to date knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.
* Level 1 & 2 Certification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification.
* Proven experience working within electrical maintenance, ideally in both domestic and commercial environments.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, testing, and inspection techniques.
* Experience working with both single-phase and three-phase systems.
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
* Full UK driving license and ability to travel across the West London area.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience with electrical installations and maintenance for large commercial buildings.
* Additional qualifications such as an ECS card or City & Guilds certifications in relevant disciplines.
* Familiarity with using electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers, etc.).
