Introduction

Our client, Ultrasigns, is a manufacturer, designer and supplier of signage solutions to the construction, corporate and retail sectors in South Africa. Ultrasigns has an exciting opportunity available for a Cost Estimator to join their growing team, situated in Parow-East.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a team player with good communication skills and a meticulous approach to work, paired with a natural aptitude for working with mathematical information and technical drawings.

Key responsibilities will include: *Keeping up to date with changes in costings of materials *Calculating costing of every sign or project, including material and labour as per designs and specifications *Preparing standardised costing models *Estimate costings for installations, including travel to other provinces *Conducting time and motion studies for determining labour component of signage products *Preparing tender documents *Reviewing and auditing of costings, claims and invoices of jobs and projects *All other tasks related to the role.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Essential minimum qualifications, skills and experience:

Matric with Mathematics required, a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous;

• Minimum 3 years’ practical experience as cost estimator in the manufacturing or construction industry (experience specifically in the signage industry will be preferred);

• Excellent computer literacy in MS Office (specifically Excel), Coreldraw will be advantageous;

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);

• Own reliable transport.
