Position Overview

We are seeking two experienced Construction Managers/Site Agents for a 12-month water infrastructure project in the Eastern Cape (Coffee Bay). The successful candidates will be responsible for managing and supervising all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction operations on-site, ensuring compliance with approved project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and construction services.
• Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance on-site, conducting regular inspections and resolving any safety issues.
• Manage site budgets, monitor costs, and produce accurate forecasts to keep the project within budget.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, regulatory bodies, and the internal team.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports and address any project-related concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Proactively resolve construction-related issues or disputes in collaboration with relevant parties.
• Ensure that all site activities are in compliance with legal regulations, permits, and industry standards.

• BTech or BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7 or higher).
• Professional Registration (Required): NONE NEGOTIABLE
  • ECSA: Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Agent in bulk water and sewer infrastructure construction.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to start immediately.
