Position: Quantity Surveyor (Pre tender)

Salary: USD 1,200-1,800 per month
The Quantity Surveyor will provide full QS support across pre-tender, tender stage, and post-tender commercial activities. This includes BOQ preparation, tender estimating, subcontractor engagement, and ongoing cost control to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications to understand scope, objectives, procurement requirements, and budget constraints.
Liaise with design teams, consultants, and clients to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies, and identify missing information prior to tendering.
Prepare preliminary cost estimates and cost plans at concept, schematic, and design development stages, including value engineering options.
Conduct detailed measurement take-offs and produce fully itemised Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in line with relevant measurement standards.
Break down projects into trade packages and determine procurement strategies for subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) ensuring full scope coverage.
Maintain and update tender tracking logs for RFQ issuance, submission deadlines, and returned quotations.
Follow up with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely responses.
Review and analyse quotations for completeness, accuracy, and competitiveness.
Conduct clarification meetings or correspondence to address supplier queries.
Prepare cost comparison schedules highlighting inclusions, exclusions, and commercial terms.
Finalise tender estimates, including contingencies, preliminaries, indirect costs, and risk allowances.
Prepare and compile complete tender submission packages, including priced BOQ, cost summaries, and required client forms.
Draft written tender responses, capability statements, and clarifications during the tender process.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
2-3 years experience in pre-tender, tender stage, and post-tender QS duties.
Strong measurement skills with knowledge of relevant standards.
Proficiency in cost planning, BOQ preparation, estimating, and tender procedures.
Experience in subcontractor engagement and cost comparison analysis.
Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, or related estimating software.
