BIM Coordinator

In this role you will lead the overall efforts of the virtual construction process for large scale industrial projects and lead the VDC team to create detailed 3D models and provide clash detection to validate the design and constructability of the federated model. The Coordinator will facilitate the communication and resolutions of all design and construction issues with the project team, subcontractors and design team.  Other core responsibilities include creating federated construction models using Navisworks, importing/exporting 3D models, create selection sets and clash detection tests in Navisworks, conduct and coordinate VDC meetings, provide guidance for clash resolution, review 3D models and drawings for accuracy, coordinate design changes and RFI responses, monitor project schedules regarding submittals and approvals and shop drawings and identify and communicate any delays or problems to project management team.

This is a permanent, DIRECT HIRE position and can be done REMOTE by strong candidates, but the candidate must be located in the United States. 

Salary: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 Plus ESOP and BONUS. 

Job Requirements:

• AAS in Drafting/Design or equivalent experience and 4-10 years+ experience in industrial construction, MEP or Architecture/Engineering
• Expert knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, Advanced skills with REVIT, AUTOCAD, Plant 3D and Civil 3D a plus
• Ability to read and interpret shop, design and P&ID and PFD schematics
• Knowledge of pipe fabrication processes, ability to read Gant charts and construction schedules
• Experience with BIM Track, BIM 360 and clash tracking S/W
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
