Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Control & Monitoring:
* Report on project costs and financial performance.
* Track any variations in costs and work with the project manager.
2. Valuation:
* Prepare weekly/ monthly applications to gain approval for clients for payment
3. Reporting & Documentation:
* Prepare detailed financial reports and provide regular updates to clients or senior management on project budgets and expenditures.
* Maintain accurate records of all contracts, payments, and variations.
4. Collaboration & Communication:
* Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other colleagues to ensure the project’s financial health.
* Attend client meetings and collaborate with the project team to discuss project progress and resolve financial issues.
Key Skills Required:
* Strong proficiency in Excel, and valuation techniques.
* Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
* Analytical thinking and attention to detail, Ensuring accuracy in all calculations, and reports.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Working Conditions:
* Full-time, office-based, 40 hours a week, 8 days a day with an hour lunch. Office is open between 7.30am-5.30pm
* Banstead - must be able to drive or commute easily
