Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Multi Skilled Shift Electrician to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
As the Multi Skilled Shift Electrician, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
The Multi Skilled Shift Electrician, will be responsible for:

Operate, install, and maintain building engineering services, ensuring an optimal and reliable working environment.

Deliver a high standard of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).

Monitor and maintain the performance of critical equipment, ensuring the continuous operation of Data Centre infrastructure.

Conduct electrical installations and testing in Data Halls according to site specifications and standards.

Accurately record all maintenance tasks and updates to ensure CAFM systems are current and complete.

Assist in the technical evaluation of plant and equipment, providing input on improvements and upgrades.

Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor, ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and efficiently.

Perform operational duties and routine maintenance activities on a rotating shift pattern.

Act as an Authorised Person (AP) for LV/HV electrical systems, ensuring safe operation and switching where required.

Support the wider engineering team with both mechanical and electrical (M&E) services in a mission-critical environment.
To be successful for this Multi Skilled Shift Electrician role you must have:

Recognised Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g. City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent).

A minimum of 3 years’ experience working on mission-critical infrastructure, such as Data Centres.

Proven multi-skilled expertise, with strong competency in both electrical and mechanical systems.

Solid understanding of M&E equipment including:

UPS systems

Standby generators
-
Building Management Systems (BMS)
-
HV and LV switchgear
-
Chilled water cooling and air conditioning systems
-
Experience working with shift patterns and providing 24/7 cover.

Ability to interpret and follow technical instructions and work within a safety-critical environment.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small, high-performing team.

Comfortable working both independently and under supervision in a dynamic, high-availability environment.
