A well-established main contractor with a £50m annual turnover is seeking 1–2 ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors to join their growing commercial team. With five Senior Quantity Surveyors currently in the business, this is a fantastic opportunity to be mentored and developed into a full Quantity Surveyor role within 12–24 months.
The Role:
Assist in managing the commercial aspects of £10m+ projects
Work alongside experienced QSs and Senior QSs on all project phases
Prepare and assist with subcontractor packages, variations, and valuations
Gain hands-on experience with COINS software
Report on project progress, costs, and risks
Requirements:
1–2 years’ experience with a main contractor
Working knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT preferred)
Ambitious and eager to develop into a Quantity Surveyor
Proficient with Excel; COINS experience desirable
Must be based within a commutable distance to Southampton
