Small Works Quantity Surveyor

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, organised Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of small works projects across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. These projects typically range up to £100K in value, including refurbishments, maintenance works, minor construction, and fit-outs.
You’ll be responsible for running 3 to 6 projects simultaneously, taking ownership of the commercial management from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee cost planning, procurement, and budget control for multiple small-scale projects.

Manage subcontractor packages, payments, and variations.

Liaise directly with clients, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Prepare valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.

Ensure commercial practices meet contractual and company standards.

Respond quickly to changing project demands and maintain a strong grip on costs and timeframes.
About You

Minimum 3+ years of QS experience, ideally in a small works or maintenance environment.

Confident managing multiple concurrent projects with values up to £100K.

Familiarity with JCT contracts (minor works and intermediate forms).

Comfortable working independently and making commercial decisions.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Based in or within commutable distance to Liverpool.
