Quantity Surveyor – Glasgow – Up to £60,000 DOE + Car / Allowance + Package
First Task Professional are delighted to be working alongside a contractor with an excellent track record for delivering infrastructure projects and frameworks across multiple sectors.
The client are a major tier 1 involved in long term works at HMNB Clyde.
They are seeking a Senior QS to deliver projects spanning the full lifecycle of nuclear infrastructure- from construction and upgrades to long term maintenance and decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead cost planning, budgeting, and cost control for multi-disciplinary construction and design projects

Prepare, manage, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations (including NEC forms)

Monitor project costs, track performance, and report on financial risks and opportunities

Develop cost-saving strategies while ensuring quality and compliance

Ensure all work aligns with regulatory, contractual, and company standards

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
Required Skills & Experience:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction or infrastructure

Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and procurement processes

Solid understanding of cost management and commercial control

Excellent communication, negotiation, and team collaboration skills

Comfortable managing multiple priorities across complex projects

Proficiency in project management and cost reporting tools
