Position Summary:
As Client Leader/Sr. Architect at DLR Group you will be responsible for advancing our strong and growing our Honolulu studio across DLR Group. As part of our integrated design teams you promote DLR Group to elevate the human experience through design. You will work closely with the our team to lead the pursuit award and execution of work and projects in the area. You'll be responsible for fostering relationships to grow DLR Group’s footprint throughout the western US regions.
The successful candidate will:
- Work closely with Business Development staff to grow and nurture client relationships develop new business and secure new client agencies/groups.
- Meet with and collaborate with agency representatives to identify opportunities well in advance of their announcement.
- Establish annual business goals strategies and tactics in collaboration with Sector Leaders and Region Leaders.
- Provide thought leadership within the firm as well as with clients
- Attend industry events business development events interviews and client meetings as required.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills.
- Achieve annual profit and growth goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture Engineering or Construction Management.
- 8+ years of Professional Architectural experience
- Professional Licensure
- Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Federal Government procurement processes with a focus on the Department of Defense and General Services Administration
- Have led the development and implementation of market strategies that have won Federal work
- Have ongoing relationships with Federal Agency Representative with a focus on the Department of Defense (USACE and NAVFAC).
- Experience managing Federal IDIQ contracts and large-scale design-build projects
- AIA CID DBIA or equivalent accreditation. LEED accreditation a plus.
