Were working with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that's looking for an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic London team. Known for delivering elegant, sustainable engineering solutions, this consultancy is involved in high-profile residential and hotel developments-both locally and internationally.
The Opportunity
This is more than just a design role. You'll be at the forefront of project leadership-guiding concepts from the drawing board to final delivery. Collaborate with top-tier architects and developers, push the boundaries of mechanical design, and mentor a growing team of engineers in a supportive environment that genuinely values innovation and sustainability.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead mechanical design across a diverse portfolio of projects from concept to handover.
Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with current regulations and champion design excellence.
Guide and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
Embed low-carbon, energy-efficient thinking into every stage of the design process.
What You Bring:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar.
Chartered or actively working toward CEng (CIBSE, IMechE, etc.).
A solid track record delivering detailed mechanical designs for the built environment.
Experience working on luxury residential and/or high-end hospitality projects.
Confident leading design teams and managing key client interactions.
Proficiency with tools such as Revit, IES, and Hevacomp.
