Industrial Electrician
Location : Derby Static
Salary : £45-50,000pa / 40 hours / life assurance / enhanced pension / 25 days holiday
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team working on a live quarry site. This hands-on role involves the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems across heavy plant and industrial machinery to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on quarry machinery, conveyors, crushers, screens, and site infrastructure
Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce machinery breakdowns and downtime
Install new electrical systems, control panels, and cable runs in compliance with regulations
Perform inspections and testing of electrical equipment in line with industry standards
Ensure compliance with health & safety and site-specific procedures at all times
Assist with emergency breakdowns and provide electrical support to the wider site operations team
Complete maintenance logs and service reports accurately and timely
Liaise with engineers and production staff to coordinate electrical work around operational needs Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Industrial or heavy plant electrical experience essential (quarry, mining, aggregates, or similar)
Knowledge of motors, 3-phase systems, control panels, PLCs (basic fault-finding level)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CSCS/ECS card (desirable)
Experience working in hazardous environments and awareness of quarry safety standards is an advantage Benefits:
