Senior / Principal Civil Engineer (Consultancy)
MillTech is working closely with a leading engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions. They have a history of excellence and a commitment to sustainability; they are seeking a highly experienced Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to lead their civil engineering projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee large-scale civil engineering projects from conception through to completion
- Provide technical expertise and ensure design integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Manage project teams, coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
- Develop project proposals, budgets, and schedules
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery
- Ensure quality control and risk management throughout project lifecycles
Qualifications & experience needed:
- A degree or HND in civil engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional registration
- Extensive experience in civil engineering, with significant leadership roles
- Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of a range of schemes
- Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage, or similar
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, project management tools)
