Quantity Surveyor required in Essex
GVR Solutions are currently representing a very well-established, forward thinking and multidisciplined main contractor, based in Essex, who due to positive increase in project workload after successfully winning new projects are in the market for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
As a main contractor they work on a range full turnkey, refurbishment and responsive repair contracts through Essex, Hertfordshire and London.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and final accounts

Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and payments

Cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Ensuring projects are commercially viable and compliant with contract requirements

Supporting project delivery teams with contractual and commercial advice
Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor:
-
3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a main contractor

Experience working for a main contractor working on both new build and refurbishment projects

Proven experience working on projects of a similar value
-
Strong understanding of JCT contracts

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
-
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred)
