We are seeking a motivated and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and support the effective management of project costs across a range of earthworks and civil engineering contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most significant earthmoving and infrastructure schemes with a forward-thinking, family-run business.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and control the commercial and financial aspects of multiple live projects.

Prepare and submit interim valuations, final accounts, and cost reports.

Monitor project budgets and forecast costs to completion.

Measure and value works in progress and variations.

Liaise closely with project managers, estimators, and site teams.

Support procurement of subcontractors, plant, and materials.

Analyse subcontractor quotations and agreements.

Ensure contractual compliance and manage claims/disputes where necessary.

Support business reporting including monthly CVRs and P&Ls.

Build strong client relationships and represent the company at commercial meetings.
Requirements
-
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, earthworks, or plant hire sectors.

Understanding of NEC3/NEC4 and/or bespoke contract forms.

Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other cost reporting tools.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to visit project sites.
