This Opportunity
Our Earth and Environment Team is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Environmental Engineer to work out of our Lawrenceville, NJ, office. This part time 32 hour per week position is seeking individuals with 15+ years performing site investigations and remedial designs specific to in-situ chemical oxidation, bio injections, wastewater treatment systems and sub-slab depressurization systems.
Your Impact
- Lead the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSPβs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Environmental Engineering or related Undergraduate program.
- Sufficient experience of 15+ years of Environmental Engineering with professional engineerβs license in New Jersey and Maryland a must.
- Ability to work 32 hours per week with the possibility to increase hours to 40 hours full-time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with environmental remediation programs and roles / preferences/requirements of regulatory agencies.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
- Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
- Provide technical input, oversight and input for the environmental remedial projects and associated deliverables (plans, reports, letters, presentations, meeting documentation, etc.), including client SOPs, company standards, contract requirements, regulatory approvals, etc .
- Proactive interaction with clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare and review project cost and schedule information. Working knowledge of cost and scheduling software such as MS Project is preferred.
- Work cooperatively with other WSP offices and technical resources.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPβs health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- This role is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of this policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.
- Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
- Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
- Some site visits and travel to the key project sites will be periodically required (site meetings and site inspections, but not field execution).
