Responsibilities:
Conceptualization and Design: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to grasp design requirements, developing innovative concepts aligning with project goals.
Space Planning: Conduct comprehensive space analysis, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency while adhering to regulatory standards.
Material and Finish Selection: Source and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that align with design specifications, budget constraints, and quality standards.
3D Modeling and Visualization: Utilize industry-standard software to create compelling 3D models and renderings for effective client presentations.
Project Documentation: Develop detailed construction documents, including drawings, schedules, and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of design intent.
Project Management: Oversee design concept implementation during the construction phase, collaborating with contractors and vendors to meet project timelines.
Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and striving to exceed expectations through high-quality design solutions.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required, preference given to candidates with accreditation from a CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) accredited Interior Design program.
Certification: NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification is mandatory.
Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on commercial design experience.
Knowledge Base:
Design Skills: Proficient in both hand and computer-aided design drafting skills.
Demonstrated expertise in space planning with an interest in programming.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of design trends, construction methodologies, and materials application in commercial design.
Basic knowledge of building regulations and life safety codes.
Interior Elements: Familiarity with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art, signage, color, and materials to execute design intent.
Design Techniques: Mastery of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in basic technical skills of interior design, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Competency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit Architecture is preferred.
