Professional Quantity Surveyor (SACQSP)
Hire ResolveA reputable and established professional quantity surveying consultancy known for delivering high-quality services across South Africa’s private sector construction industry, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with experience in private sector development and a background in PQS consulting to work on exciting commercial and mixed-use construction contracts.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying process from inception to final account.
Prepare and monitor cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
Administer financial aspects of construction projects including valuations and variations.
Perform contract administration duties, including preparation of interim payment certificates.
Attend site and client meetings, providing technical and financial advice as needed.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and contractual obligations.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in private sector development within a PQS (Professional Quantity Surveying) firm.
Proven experience working on commercial and mixed-use developments.
BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
SACQSP registration (PrQS) is preferable.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
