Operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment relating to Building Infrastructure. Complete Preventive Maintenance per policies and/or procedures following the CMMS timeline ensuring regulatory compliance. Demonstrates effective communication, assertiveness, and versatility in responding to customer needs. Is able to plan, organize, and prioritize work tasks. May be required to work with others in planning and scheduling for modifications and repairs to systems with minimal disruption to the mission of our organization while meeting fiscal constraints. Is alert to all aspects of equipment when responding to customer requests and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possesses excellent human relations skills to interact with staff, visitors, and patients. Available to work occasional overtime. On-call rotation may be required. Maximum response times for on-call determined per campus location. Serves as a resource and mentor to others.
Five years of trade specific experience working with plumbing and mechanical systems related to Building Infrastructure or completion of a one-year trade-specific program. Must demonstrate abilities to operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment relating to Building Infrastructure. Four years of military experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of the field service experience requirements. Experience working in a healthcare facility is preferred. Specific requirements based on campus location (review for each posting). Minnesota Journeyman or Masters Plumbing License and a valid Drivers License.
ASSE 5110 Backflow Prevention Tester Certified and ASSE 5130 Backflow Prevention Rebuilder Certified or able to obtain this within a timeframe established at the time of hire. A Minnesota Special Engineer Boilers License is required within 6 months of hire.
