- Valid Texas driver’s license.
- Proficient in the use of specialized test and process equipment.
- Must be capable of making independent, on the spot, "safe to operate" decisions regarding safety of students and staff.
- Perform well in a crew environment.
- Ability to work for continuous or extended time periods exposed to, but not limited to, sun, heat, cold, poor weather conditions and/or mechanical room or equipment noise.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience required.
- Install, maintain and repair potable and non-potable water lines, sewer lines, gas lines, domestic and commercial water heaters, flush devices, drinking fountains, pumps and related equipment.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance.
- Complete daily man-hour logs and other required documentation.
- Maintain an inventory and itemize costs on each job.
- Act as Project Lead when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Work with frequent interruptions.
- This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.
- Heavy lifting and carrying on a daily basis (45 pounds and over).
- Standing, walking, climbing (stairs, ladder, scaffold, or ramps), balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pulling, pushing, reaching, hearing, speaking clearly and driving truck or van.
