About the Company:
Our client is a leading international MEP contractor with a proven track record delivering high-value, mission-critical projects across Europe. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team on a hyperscale data centre project in Sweden.
Role Overview:
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of the mechanical scope of works on-site. You will lead construction activities, manage subcontractors and ensure that all mechanical installations are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day mechanical construction activities on site.
- Coordinate and supervise mechanical subcontractors and direct labour.
- Ensure works are executed according to design, schedule, and budget.
- Monitor progress against the programme and report regularly to senior management.
- Lead site meetings and interface with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and main contractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with the QA/QC team to ensure quality benchmarks are achieved.
- Support commissioning and handover activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager role.
- Strong background in mechanical systems delivery within data centres, pharmaceutical, or similar mission-critical environments.
- Experience working with international MEP contractors is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale mechanical packages and coordinate site teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Relevant engineering or construction qualification.
- Willingness to work on-site in Sweden on a rotation or relocation basis.
- EU passport or existing right to work in the EU.
