Maintenance Carpenter


 

The Carpenter 1 is responsible to assist the Maintenance Department with various construction needs. The Carpenter will assist with maintenance of buildings, drives and walkways, gates and fences, and support the Construction shop as needed.


 

Maintain Buildings
Assist with various building maintenance projects. Follow all job instructions and safety procedures for site preparation, job completion, and cleanup.

Maintain Driveways and Walkways
Assist with asphalt repairs and install concrete for driveways and walkways. Follow all job instructions and safety procedures for site preparation, job completion, and cleanup.

Maintain Gates and Fences
Assist with various fence repair, gate repair, and installation. Follow instructions for completing set-up and repair.

Support the Construction Shop
Maintain and organize shop tools and equipment. Stock, organize, and clean the shop area. Follow directions given for various tasks and projects.

Education

HS (Required)


 

Work Experience

1+ years in general maintenance, 2+ years in construction, Apprenticeship in the construction trade


 

Physical Requirements and Skills

Ability to lift 50+ pounds, Hand Tools, Lift, bend, stretch, push, or pull as needed, Power Tools, State driver's license, Work from ladders and scaffolding, Working knowledge of construction trades
