Description

Design, develop and manage interior specific and related projects, and provide interior design for various miscellaneous and in-house designed projects. Collaborate with a diverse group of departments and committees throughout Mayo to analyze proponent's needs, goals, and life safety requirements. Establish interior design standards for multi-building campus. Provides direction to external vendors and architecture & interior design consultants, and contractors, in addition to implementing any size or complexity of in-house design projects including space planning, furniture and finish selections and specifications. Establish, monitor, and maintain building standards as identified by Facilities Services and approved by Committees. Must possess a wide degree of creativity, communication/presentation skills, design experience, and judgment required for interior building projects. Must have good working knowledge of applicable codes. Must be proficient with AutoCAD and Revit and Microsoft software.



Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Fine Art, Interior Architecture, Art History, or Architecture and 10 years of relevant experience. Experience with the design process including programming, schematics, design development and construction documents. Must possess strong interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Must be able to define, prioritize and achieve specific goals and objectives with leadership competencies that include professionalism, honesty, vision, planning, and team building. Must be able to work in a team as well as independently. Must be able to work with a wide range of personalities and challenging situations. Must be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and efficiently with minimal direction. Three years’ relevant design experience in health care preferred. Must have a state appropriate license, CID (MN, WI, AZ, FL) and NCIDQ certification as applicable.

Experience with art consultants to select and procure art, and the coordination of placement plans and art installations a plus.
