Job Description
Virginia Peninsula Community College is a two-year institution of higher education established as a part of a statewide system of community colleges. It primarily serves the residents of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of James City and York. Virginia Peninsula Community College changes lives, empowers students to succeed and enhances the civic and economic vitality of the Peninsula region through high quality education and workforce training, excellent service, and innovative partnerships. The mission of the Facilities Services Department is to maintain and extend the useful life of existing facilities and infrastructures, as well as to plan and provide stewardship for new facilities and infrastructures in a manner which forwards the college’s mission. The Electrician repairs, maintains, and installs electrical equipment on all Campus locations and to provide electrical support to the main campus electrical shop at the journeyman level to establish a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning and working environment.
Work Schedule
M-F, 7 am-4 pm; May include some nights and weekends
