The Construction Manager (“CM”) will be responsible for the successful completion of construction activities. Consistency in administration of client’s construction contract, application of safety standards, compliance with codes, project reporting and management construction inspection personnel are the main priorities. The CM will liaise with field personnel, attend meetings, report out on progress (including production, safety, quality, environment and schedule), and mentor and support inspection personnel and office support staff. The CM will be a key role in the review and evaluation of change order requests and the overall application of the construction contract.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Champion a culture of safety among inspection and Third-Party Contractor crews
  • Fully support Environmental Compliance and Excellence efforts
  • Oversee compliance of construction activities
  • Coordinate sub consultant training, activities on the ROW, and inspection/survey escorts
  • Provide front-end layout and project support
  • Plan and direct work when necessary
  • Maximize Third-Party Contractor efficiency
  • Oversee progress reporting to client
  • Track budget and expenses
  • Oversee the production of DOT/PHMSA compliant technical records for the project.
