THE JOB:

As a Carpenter, your primary responsibility is to perform both predictive maintenance and reactive repairs on furniture, cabinetry, and various structures, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work from blueprints and instructions to complete assignments efficiently while adhering to all applicable laws and company policies to maintain the integrity of the facility.


THE STARTING RATE: $36.61Β hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install permanent structures, office partitions, doors, cornices, counters, etc., safely set up and operate various types of woodworking machines in conjunction with work assignments, work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner

  • Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finished specifications, lay out jobs and compute angular and linear dimensions as required

  • Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment

  • Keep informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods and advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property

  • Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)

  • Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all furniture, cabinetry, rooms, public areas and offices

  • Responsible for completion of jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management, maintain logbooks

  • Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experienceΒ in a similar experience

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
