Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is a transportation design and consulting firm that works on projects all over the U.S. We focus on civil and transportation engineering, but also architectural design buildings for airports, transportation facilities, and public spaces. Job Summary
We’re looking for an architectural designer to help our team with building design projects in Florida and the Gulf Coast region. You’ll work closely with our architects to create drawings, research materials, help with presentations, and assist during construction. This is a great role if you want to grow your skills and be part of a supportive team.
 
Responsibilities
  • Help create design drawings and plans for airports, transportation buildings, and public facilities.
  • Assist with project layouts, interior designs, and presentation graphics.
  • Prepare and update drawings and documents in Revit 2024 and BIM 360.
  • General knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
  • Research materials, building methods, and local building codes.
  • Coordinate with other designers, engineers, and consultants.
  • Assist with project record-keeping, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Visit project sites with team members to document progress.
  • Help answer contractor questions and review construction submittals.
  • Support proposal and presentation preparation for new projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 year of experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and presentation tools (SketchUp, Lumion, etc.)
  • Design experience in FL desired.
  • FL licensure desired or ability to obtain.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and be open to learning new things.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
 
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking. The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials, typically not exceeding 20 pounds. The office environment is indoors, characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions. Employees must have the ability to visually discern and differentiate details and colors of objects, and proficiency in recognizing sound, tone, and pitch. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow, as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods.
 
Expected Hours of Work 
The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule. 
This is an onsite position reporting to the ICE office 5 days per week.
