Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our facilities team on a static site in Clitheroe. You will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard, compliant with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.

Diagnose and repair electrical faults including lighting, distribution boards, motors, control panels, and emergency systems.

Carry out regular inspections and testing of electrical installations in line with statutory requirements.

Maintain accurate maintenance records using site systems or CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).

Liaise with contractors and site management to coordinate electrical work and minimise downtime.

Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and relevant electrical regulations (e.g., BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations).

Support other facilities or maintenance tasks where necessary (basic mechanical or fabric work as needed).
Requirements:

Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365/2330, or equivalent).

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification – essential.

Proven experience in a commercial or industrial maintenance environment.

Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose faults using test equipment.

Good understanding of health and safety practices and permit-to-work systems.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:

City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Testing & Inspection qualification.

Experience working on HVAC controls, BMS systems or emergency lighting.

Familiarity with CAFM or CMMS systems.
