Your Role
We are looking for a Junior Architect with a strong interest in Retail and Retail Roll-out projects to join our dynamic team at Gensler. In this role, you will combine creativity, technical expertise, and business acumen to bring innovative retail environments to life. You’ll contribute to the development and execution of commercial design projects, working closely with cross-disciplinary teams and high-profile clients. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and help shape how brands connect with their customers through space.
What You Will Do
- Support the design and documentation of retail projects, from concept to construction
- Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil) to ensure alignment across disciplines
- Participate in client meetings and support project communication and coordination
- Assist in resolving design and technical challenges throughout all project phases
- Maintain and support the development of project specifications
- Review design documents for building code compliance
- Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and documentation
- Contribute to office culture, team collaboration, and studio initiatives
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year focused on interior and/or retail design projects
- Proficiency in Revit is required
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with US-based projects is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction methods and ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
- Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Solutions-driven, adaptable, and committed to design excellence
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking, with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site observations, and documentation
- Interface with building and permitting authorities as needed
- Contribute to office culture, team collaboration, and studio initiatives
