The Civil Graduate Engineer will assist with all aspects of engineering projects including grading, drainage systems, water systems, wastewater systems, and roadways while working under the guidance of registered professional engineers.
Your Impact:
Complete preliminary engineering studies and reports.
Perform drainage system design and calculations including detention pond and storm sewer sizing.
Perform site grading.
Design water and sanitary sewer systems.
Assist in final engineering plan production with CAD staff.
Assist in the preparation of final engineering specifications.
Designs work in compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards.
Perform quantity take-offs and estimates.
Work with the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction to obtain plan approval and permits.
Review of submittals and answer Contractor’s RFIs.
Periodic site observations during construction.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Certified Engineer-in-Training required.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
2-5 years of experience since graduation.
Highly proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office suite.
Excellent communications skills both oral and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills with coworkers, owners, and public agency officials.
Familiarity with regional design criteria.
Ability to work interdependently within a team environment.
Must be flexible to changes and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.

The actual offered base salary for California locations will vary depending on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role will be at or near the top half of the range provided, but the decision will be dependent on the factors of each individual case. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The salary range for this position is below.
$52,000.00 - $78,000.00
