On-Call: £125 retainer per shift (up to 4 times per year) + minimum 4 hours paid per call-out

Overview
We’re currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrician to join a dedicated facilities maintenance team working across multiple sites in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and additional pay for occasional on-call duties.
The role involves covering several key locations with flexibility to support other sites during staff leave or absences. A company van is provided for work-related travel to ensure you can carry out your duties efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Perform planned and preventative electrical maintenance

Diagnose and replace failed domestic electrical components

Respond to faults and breakdowns under appropriate safe systems of work

Conduct fault-finding and problem-solving across systems

Complete electrical installation works to current wiring regulations

Inspect and test electrical installations (in line with BS7671 standards)

Monitor and manage stock of critical electrical spares

Maintain a strong focus on health and safety compliance
What You’ll Need
Essential:
-
Recognised technical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2365 Parts 1–3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

Experience in electrical maintenance, testing, and installation

Solid understanding of Electrical Systems and the Electricity at Work Regulations

Ability to work independently and at heights

Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
