Affordable senior housing is set to take a major step forward in Raleigh, North Carolina. East Carolina Community Development, Inc. (ECCDI), a nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing communities, has partnered with Avanti Residential Housing, a national multifamily developer and operator, to create Battle Bridge Apartments, a $50 million affordable housing community for adults 55 and older.
Pending final local approvals, construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026, with the first residences ready for occupancy in 2027.
